Lottery prize payments have come a long way since the days of handing over a casket of gold. Whether you’ve won a major Powerball jackpot or pocketed a smaller Lotto win, when you claim a prize, we’ve got a variety of ways to make sure it’s securely paid to you.

There are three key things that can determine how your win is paid out:

  • How you bought your winning ticket: Did you buy your entry in-store or online? This will determine the options available to you
  • How much you’ve won: Believe it or not, our retailers can’t pay a multi-million-dollar lottery win over the counter. However, they can pay smaller prize amounts to a set limit.
  • Where you live: This is important as different states and territories are subject to different state government regulations.

Don’t forget, the easiest way to manage your prizes is by joining The Lott Members Club. By becoming a member, you have access to faster and automatic prize payments to start living your winning dreams sooner.

Once paid, you can withdraw your prize to a bank account of your choice.

Prizes won from registered tickets purchased in-store can be paid direct to your bank account.

Your local retailer can provide a secure SMS link to add your bank account details to your membership.

If you have an online Members Club account, you can log in to manage your bank details for in-store prizes.

We will never call and ask for your bank details over the phone.

Your local retailer can pay prizes on tickets purchased in-store up to a set limit.

Prizes over these set limits must be claimed in person at our head offices or by post. Find your nearest head office here.

To claim by post, fill out a Prize Claim Form (available in-store or online) and send the completed form and original winning ticket to us.
