In case you missed it: Powerball strikes twice and Lucky Lotteries jackpots at $27.5M
It’s been a HUGE week of lottery wins, with two Powerball division one winners, the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw finally going off at $27.5 million, and a Play for Purpose winner who scored big on her very first ticket while supporting Breast Cancer Network Australia.
New South Wales woman celebrates major Lucky Lotteries win
After 99 consecutive draws without a jackpot winner, the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot finally erupted, with a Nelson Bay woman walking away with a whopping $27.5 million!
“I can’t hold back the tears. My eyes are going all blurry on me,” she wept when we confirmed her prize.
“I’ve been a long-time player, and recently I had a really good feeling about the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
“I think I’ll pay my husband a visit at his work. I’ve never gone to his work before, so he’ll know something’s up.”
Powerball jackpot shared
Two New South Wales players are dancing into the weekend after they both scored division one in the $10 million Powerball draw last night. With $5 million each heading their way, the players have opted to stay anonymous and celebrate their life-changing wins in private.
Play For Purpose draw surprises a worthy winner
A Mount Martha woman was overwhelmed with emotion when she learned that her first-ever Play For Purpose charity raffle ticket in support of Breast Cancer Network Australia won the First Prize Pack valued at $300,000! She shared the charity held a special place, after being diagnosed with breast cancer herself.
“Do you know what? The reason I bought this is because we’ve been touched by breast cancer,” she heartfully shared.
“My treatment is going well but that’s why the raffle came on my radar. Gosh, I’ve got tears now. I need a tissue.
“You’ve made my day! I’m going to be so cliche right now because I know everyone says this, but I've never won anything in my life.
“I’ve got to call my husband. He’ll be so shocked and surprised. Gosh, two cars and $140,000 of gold bullion!”
Two Set for Life wins in two weeks!
Finally, a Morayfield single dad was speechless when he discovered he held the only division one winning entry nationally in the Set for Life game – the second time the game has delivered a division one winner in only two weeks.
With $20,000 dollars in monthly instalments coming his way over the next 20 years, the kind-hearted Queenslander said the prize would directly benefit his son’s future.
“What a blessing. I’m a single dad, so to be honest, I’m happy to use every part of the prize for my son and to set up his life,” he shared.
“I already work two jobs and it’s all for him. He’s my world.
“Wow. I’m so grateful. I’m a chill person but I’m pretty hyped right now.”
