There is something truly magical about sharing a win, and with 10 thrilled Aussies taking home a six-figure slice each from the Saturday Lotto division one prize pool over the weekend, this week has been absolutely enchanting. The wins landed right across the country in draw 4579 – three in New South Wales, four in Victoria, and one each in Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia.

Fate line

It’s said that all good things come in three, and for a Devonport man, he believes his winning TattsLotto division one entry was written in the stars. The Tasmanian resident scooped up an impressive $620,000 and intends to share part of the prize with his children.

“I’ll tell you a little story. I did a lot of travelling when I was younger and one time a young chap asked if he could read my fortune,” the winning man recounted.

“He looked at my palm carefully and he told me four things. I’d get married very soon, how many children I’d have, that I’d come into a lot of money in old age, and lastly, how old I’d be when I passed.

“Sure enough, the first two came true, and now this! Wow!

“I’m certainly going to treat my kids.”

The joy in generosity

Meanwhile, our hearts are feeling extra full after hearing how a Whittlesea man will pledge to donate most of his $670,000 TattsLotto division one win back into the community.

“That’s amazing. I think a lot of it will go to charity. There are a lot of less fortunate people than I, so I’d love to share the love,” he explained.

“I’ll talk to my wife, and we can go through some charities we’d like to donate to.”

Birthday boost

Up in Queensland, here’s to many happy returns! A Pimpama woman has unwrapped the best birthday surprise after pocketing a $620,000 Saturday Gold Lotto division one win.

“When I first checked the ticket online and saw all the winning numbers, I couldn’t believe it,” she said.

“There’s a lot of shock – hard to grasp!

“I’m not too sure what I’ll do with the prize, but it will be paid on the week of my birthday, so it’s a nice birthday treat!”

Revving up for the win

The surprises didn’t stop there. A St Marys grandmother burst into tears when we called to confirm her $620,000 Saturday Lotto game win. The New South Wales woman played a marked 4-game entry using her children’s birthday numbers.

“I can buy my granddaughter a new car! She’s got a lemon at the moment, and she’s had so much trouble with it,” she cheered.

“I saw your calls and messages, and I woke my partner up in a frenzy. I yelled, ‘The Lott is calling me!’.

“These are all my children’s birthday numbers.

“This is overwhelming. I never expected this at all. I’ll be able to help the kids. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”

Congratulations to all our winners this week and we hope to also be calling you soon with some winning news!
