Heart racing, breathless, and bleary eyed. Emotions were running high for our 16 division one winning entries when we called with the news of their share of the $20 million Superdraw. Read about the winning stories of the week.

Watching from above

In the lead up to Saturday’s Superdraw, a Morningside woman played her late mother’s favourite Saturday Gold Lotto numbers, unaware this would unveil a $1.2 million division one win.

“I’m still just sitting here thinking, ‘Is this real?’” she said in complete shock.

“These are my Mum’s lotto numbers. She passed away a number of years ago, but I decided to keep playing them. Some of the numbers are family birthdates.

“I think I’ll just wander around the house in a daze for the rest of the day.”

Shaking with excitement

Despite thinking our messages were a scam, a Seaford woman couldn’t shake the feeling that she might be a TattsLotto division one winner. Once she checked her ticket, that new reality came crashing in.

“$1.25 million! That sounds good to me! I’m pretty excited,” she exclaimed.

“When I told my husband, he said, ‘I hope you’re not lying to me!’.  He’s now sitting down in the lounge room catching his breath.

“It’s extraordinary! It’s a nice shock! It’s amazing.

“We’re going to absorb it a bit before we decide what to do, but we’ll definitely set our family up. Family first!”

A Wollongong winning feeling

Screams of delight erupted in Wollongong over the weekend after two grandparents won division one in the Saturday Lotto game. The Dapto couple intend to share the $1.2 million prize with their loved ones.

“Thank you so much! I hope I don’t have a heart attack. I need to sit down,” the winning husband said breathlessly.

“We have a big family so we can share it. We even have great grandchildren. Everyone can get some.

“We couldn’t have a better day than this. My wife is crying with joy.”

Smiling for days

Also in New South Wales, a Pendle Hills man couldn’t wipe the smile off his face when he realised his 1st Prize winning Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot ticket scored more than he initially thought.

“I initially thought I’d won $200 and then I noticed there were many more zeros. I couldn’t believe it,” he cheered.

“I’ve been playing and following the lottery draws for many years now.

“I might need to swap my morning coffee for some bubbles after hearing this news.”
