We’re also on the lookout for two mystery Saturday Gold Lotto winners. They purchased their entries back in 2019, and only have weeks left to claim their major prizes! Did you know, Queenslanders only have seven years to claim their lottery prize? So, we’re eager to unite these players with their windfall.

Read more below, including other winning stories from the week.

Cleaning up with a wallet clean-out

More than 10 weeks after a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw took place, an Ingleburn man found his ticket scrunched up inside an old wallet. With his mind racing, he checked his long-lost ticket and discovered his $100,000 win.

“I only just found the ticket the other day after my wife gifted me a new wallet,” he chuffed.

“She told me to clean out my old one and that’s where the ticket had been sitting this entire time. We now call my new wallet the lucky wallet.

“I’ve been sleeping with the ticket beside me ever since. I wanted to make sure I didn’t lose it.”

It’s important to always check your loose lottery tickets, because you could strike it big like our Ingleburn winner! In fact, in Queensland, the unclaimed prize deadline is nearing for two mystery Gold Lotto players who won in July 2019.

One of the division one winning entries in draw 3961, worth over $774,000, was purchased at Gatton Plaza Newsagency, Shop 7-8 Gatton Plaza, Gatton. Meanwhile, another winning entry in draw 3967, worth $1 million, was purchased at News Worx, Shop 28, 2-34 Bunker Road, Victoria Point.

Post workout euphoria

Straight off the exercise bike and into a call from us – a Frankston man’s heart rate stayed elevated as we confirmed his $3.1 million TattsLotto prize.

“Oh dear! Jeez Louise! I did sort of check the ticket on Sunday, but I couldn’t quite fathom if it was real or not,” he stammered.

“I had a quiet weekend - no golf because of the rain - so I decided to check my ticket. I scanned it on The Lott app and watched two numbers appear, then two more, and then all of them!

“That’s wonderful news! It means I don’t have to rent anymore!

“I can also help some family members out too. I told some of them yesterday and they were rapt.”

It’s never too late to win the lottery

After more than 60 years of working, a Mackay woman is eager to retire after her Gold Lotto ticket scored division one.

“You are joking! Do you know how long I’ve wanted to retire? I’m in my 70s and I’ve been working since I was young,” she cried.

“I’ve been visualising myself winning for years and years. I was even doing my groceries over the weekend, and I saw a poster for Saturday Gold Lotto, and I thought, ‘Wouldn’t that be nice?’.

“I can also go on a holiday. You know I haven’t been on a holiday for over 10 years.

“This means so much to me. I always read the winner stories on the website, and I just think, ‘Isn’t that amazing?’. Now I’ll see my own story.”

With the Saturday lotto Superdraw for draw 4687 taking place tomorrow night, anything’s possible! Grab your entry for the chance to win a share of $20 million.
