“I showed my wife and said, ‘Count these numbers!’. She was in shock. She went, ‘What a Friday!’” he explained.

“I don’t play every week - just time to time. I used to always do QuickPicks but I started to find picking my own numbers was better.

“I’m trying not to think about it in the meantime so I can focus! It’ll make for an amazing Christmas, that’s for sure.”

Just in time for Christmas, a Tamworth man’s dreams are within reach after he unwrapped a merry $15 million Oz Lotto win.

“You know how long I’ve been waiting for a call like this? A very long time!” he said excitedly when we shared the good news.

“It’s been a tough few years but I want to buy myself a house and take it easy and be comfortable. You don’t know what this means to me.

“I can’t believe only two of us in Australia had these numbers!

In sunny Queensland, four Rockhampton friends got a jolly surprise when their syndicate entry snapped up a total division one prize of $880,000.

“I’ve been playing lotto for a while now, but we only started this syndicate around a year ago,” one of the winners shared with us.

“I said to the other three, ‘Well, I don’t need to buy you Christmas presents now!’.
