It was a huge week for the Set for Life game! Two Queensland families both held division one winning entries in the draws this week – including a Bribie Island couple who revealed to us that this was their second major prize!

Persistence to dream home purchase

After years of playing and dreaming of a lottery win, a Townsville man discovered he held a division one winning entry in the recent Weekday Windfall draw! Now, with $1 million heading his way, the North Queenslander was excited to finally purchase his dream home.

“A lot of people have told me that it’s too hard to win but I’ve always said that if it’s too hard to win than no one would win!” he chuckled.

“This is a great help. I can’t believe it.

“I can finally fulfil my dream of owning my very own home. I’ve been renting for years and years. I am so excited!”

Winning not once, but twice!

A Bribie Island couple were blown away when we revealed they won a second major prize in the Set for Life game – this time, scoring division one!

“I cannot believe it. My wife's just about to collapse,” the winning husband said in shock.

“We’re such hardworking people. We’re always helping others and often put ourselves last, so it feels like everything we’ve done for others has finally come back to us.

“You know what, a few years ago, we actually won division two in Set for Life and now look at this. I’m so taken aback right now.

“I checked my ticket this morning, but I thought I had won only $8. I must have been looking at the wrong thing!”

Winning streak for Set for Life draws

Only two days later, an Airlie Beach couple also scored a Set for Life division one win of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years. The Whitsundays residents were quick to share with us their plans to spoil their loved ones.

“Oh my god! I can’t believe it. I feel like vomiting,” the wife exclaimed when we confirmed the prize.

“I have to ring my family! Oh my godfather. My husband's giving me a big hug. We’ll be having champagne early today and he can say goodbye to work for good!

“This is incredible and it will help so many people. I’ll help my children and my mum. I can’t believe it.

“I’ve been playing Set for Life for years! I always tell myself, ‘You can’t win if you don’t have a ticket.’”

This marks the third Set for Life division one win in Queensland this month, and the sixth win nationally so far this year.
