In case you missed it: Eleven Div 1 winners share $20M Superdraw
The hunt continues for a mystery $40 million Powerball winner. But plenty of winners this week were quick to confirm and claim their divsion one prize thanks to the Saturday lotto Superdraw. The $20 million division one prize was shared among 11 winning entries, each pocketing $1.8 million!
The wins landed right across the country with four in New South Wales, three in Western Australia, two in Victoria and one each in Queensland and South Australia.
The talk of Toowoomba
Queensland kicked off the streak of super wins, with a Toowoomba mum landing $1.8 million in the Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw! The Darling Downs resident burst into tears after learning about her windfall, revealing it was well timed after a run of bad luck.
“Oh my! I’m starting to cry! I’m sorry, but you’ve got no idea how much this means to me,” she said shakily on the call with us.
“Honestly, I never play Lotto, but I saw there was a $20 million prize on offer, and I thought I’d give it a crack.
“It’s been a really tough time for my children and I and this will really help us out.”
South Australia scores in Superdraw
A Golden Grove couple are gearing up for a postcard-worthy holiday after they scored $1.8 million from a winning Saturday X Lotto entry. Upon checking their ticket, they tossed and turned all night.
“I didn’t sleep all weekend. I was up for 24 hours straight. I felt like a zombie all day Sunday,” the winning wife explained.
“We just can’t believe it. It’s completely life-altering. I was just saying to my husband, ‘How can a piece of paper be so life-changing?’. It’s scary!
“I’ve been playing the lotteries forever. I only just changed my numbers a couple of months ago. I changed them to include the great grandchildren’s birthdays and some other special dates.
“My husband and I have never been to Darwin, but we’ve always wanted to do it, so we’ll definitely have a trip there.”
Victorious Victorian
A Kyneton grandmother kickstarted her week as a millionaire after her long-time TattsLotto numbers landed division one.
“I missed a few calls from The Lott earlier this morning and couldn’t work out why, so I went to the newsagency where I bought my ticket,” she said.
“They checked it for me, told me to hold on to it tight, and said I needed to call The Lott.
“My brain isn’t working! I’m very stunned. It’s totally unexpected. I’ve been playing since 1972 – a very long time coming!”
“I’ve got a big family, so I’ll be sharing it,”
Belmore millionaire
Meanwhile, a Belmore woman is scrolling through real estate listings now that she won $1.8 million in the Saturday Lotto draw.
“I had to check it four times. I couldn’t believe it," she exclaimed.
“I won $100 last year, and I thought, ‘Well, that’s my luck used after 40 years of playing.’. I guess not!
“Now I have this, I can buy a unit. I’ve only ever rented.
“I’d love to also go to the Greek islands for a holiday."
There’s still the chance to end the financial year as a newly minted millionaire. With a $6 million division one prize this weekend, grab an entry into the Saturday lotto game!
