In case you missed it: Rockhampton man’s excitement doubles with Weekday Windfall win
Did you bag a dreamy Black Friday deal recently? A Central Queensland man saw his division one win doubled from $1 million to $2 million, thanks to the Weekday Windfall Black Friday event! Read about his reaction when we confirmed the winning news.
Black Friday birthday bonus
Hip, hip, hooray! A Rockhampton man unwrapped a $2 million belated birthday surprise, after having scored division one in the Weekday Windfall Black Friday Double Your Win promotion.
“What a great present. It was only recently my birthday, and all year I had this feeling something special was going to happen. The stars aligned!” he cheered.
“I’m in my 70s, and I’ve rented my whole life. Now I can buy a house, and it’ll just help with life so much.
“I’m all fuzzy in the brain now. The fact that it was Black Friday and the prize was doubled is crazy! I thought it might’ve just been for the lower divisions, but you’re telling me I scored $2 million.”
Holiday extravaganza
Down the east coast, a Runaway Bay grandmother is packing her bags and mapping out exciting holiday plans for the family after she scored $700,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
“I’m in a bit of shock. I can’t wait to ring my husband and tell him!” she celebrated.
“Just yesterday, while I was having a cuppa with my kids and grandkids, I joked, ‘If grandma ever scores big in the lotto, she’ll take you all away on a holiday!’.
“I can’t believe this entire time that I had actually won!”
Cheque and check!
The wins didn’t stop there. Crossing to Melbourne, a Morwell woman is ticking ‘winning the lottery’ off her to-list this week after her decades-old numbers matched division one in the TattsLotto game.
“It’s a lot of money! I’m just dumbfounded. I actually feel quite numb,” she exclaimed when we confirmed the prize.
“It’s amazing. I’ve played these numbers for over 50 years.
“It doesn’t even feel real, so it’s hard to think of what I’ll do.”
Raise your glass to winning
We love hearing how division one winners turn every celebration into a moment worth savouring. A Footscray man celebrated his $700,000 TattsLotto win with a special bottle of Vietnamese scotch.
“Every week, I have a bit of a ritual. I grab my ticket, look at it and say, ‘Alright, are you finally going to let me crack open that special scotch? Is today the day I get to celebrate?’ he explained.
“I have some scotch sitting in my wardrobe that I bought in Vietnam once upon a time and I’ve always said I’d only open it if I won division one. I haven’t had scotch in so long.
“A mate of mine once scored a major lottery win and told me they whisk you off into some special room, and now I’m excited to see what it’s all about!”
