In case you missed it: Powerball jackpot soars to $80M & TattsLotto wins strike twice in Victoria
While the Powerball jackpot skyrocketed to $80 million last night, Melbourne scooped up some impressive lottery wins, including two TattsLotto division one winning entries!
History repeating itself
A retail outlet in Prahran was overjoyed after their 10-share group syndicate, ‘Epic Win’, took home a division one TattsLotto prize – their second syndicate in a month to score a win.
“I can’t believe it! This is the second time in a month that we’ve set up a winning syndicate, and it was the same one except instead of a QuickPick, it was marked numbers this time,” Prahran Market Lotto, Tobacco & News owner Suriya Arjunan said.
“We’re so excited and so happy for our customers. Some of the ticketholders will be the same winners from the previous winning draw!
“Not many outlets are able to say they’ve sold two division one winning entries in one month!”
A $3 million memory
Prompted by a text to check her TattsLotto ticket, an Attwood grandmother was light-headed after she discovered she had won $3 million.
“You always think about all the things that you would do if you had won big, but now that it’s happened, my mind is just spinning everywhere!” she exclaimed.
“You know what, my husband has always wanted a BMW, and I’d like to buy him that dream BMW!
“I also have adult children and grandchildren. My greatest joy in life is being a grandmother, and I’d love to help them all.”
Relaxing into a newfound reality
A Lyndhurst man’s morning coffee routine was interrupted by our call revealing he’d won $20,000 a month for the next 20 years in a recent Set for Life draw.
“I’ve been playing the same numbers for years. They were random numbers I chose around five years ago and I just continued to replay them,” he explained.
“I’m pretty calm because I never get shocked by most things. Even if you said I’d won $50 million, I would be just sitting like nothing happened.
“I don’t plan to tell anyone. I’ll just keep it chill.
“I’ll start celebrating once I see the money in my bank account!”
The best kind of news
Meanwhile, a Port Lincoln man was wreathed in smiles when he realised he’d pocketed $200,000 in a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
“I’m speechless. This is just amazing,” he gasped.
“That’s just put a smile on my face.
“I haven’t won anything like this before. It’s a surreal feeling.
“Now I have to go back to work and pretend nothing happened.”
