Since 1921, The Lott by Golden Casket has been a proud supporter of the Mater Hospital and the life-changing research they do for the tiniest of humans, their mothers, and families.  

We’re proud to be a presenting partner for a second year for the Nine Telethon supporting Mater Little Miracles.

To kick start the Telethon fundraising goal of $9 million, The Lott by Golden Casket is donating $600,000 towards life-saving research, care services, and equipment, ensuring all babies at Mater have the best possible start to life.

This donation will also support world leading maternal fetal specialist researchers at Mater to identify a biomarker test that may indicate whether a pregnancy will result in small babies, babies with fetal growth restrictions, stillbirths, or other adverse outcomes. 

Mater Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Thomas said this year’s donation from The Lott by Golden Casket would ensure Mater continues to provide world-leading research for Queensland’s most vulnerable babies.

“Every dollar donated to the Nine Telethon supporting Mater Little Miracles makes a difference to the babies and families we care for at Mater, so we are incredibly grateful to receive this contribution from The Lott,” Mr Thomas said.

“Support like this enables us to invest in life-saving equipment and support world-leading research at Mater – research that ultimately benefits babies across Australia and the globe.”    

Today, Saturday April 26th, the Telethon will also share other incredible stories of kids and their families, and shine a light on the industry-leading care that Mater provides.

Update: Over $10 million raised, for Mater Little Miracles

The 2025 Nine Telethon has raised an extraordinary $10,005,545 for Mater Little Miracles, surpassing the $9 million fundraising goal.

The Lott by Golden Casket proudly contributed $600,000 on behalf of our customers, retails and staff to help make this record-breaking total possible.

Thousands came together to support the critical care provided by Mater’s dedicated clinical teams, with this outstanding contribution further strengthening Mater’s position as a national leader in neonatal intensive care and maternal-fetal medicine. These vital funds will help ensure even more little miracles have a fighting chance.
