In the hunt to find his passport, a Coburg man stumbled across an unregistered Weekday Windfall ticket in his storage unit. Little did he realise, he’d been a millionaire for more than eight months!

“I had no idea until I went through my storage unit and found some old tickets,” he explained. 

“I was actually looking for my passport but stumbled across them and just thought I’d give them a scan and see what’s there. That’s when the $1 million popped up.

“I’m just glad I didn’t throw them out!”

“This is just a one-off. I saw it was an $80 million draw, and I just picked all my lucky numbers, such as my family’s birthdays,” she exclaimed.

“I’ve just gotten out of the shower and saw I had some missed calls. I thought, ‘What the hell?’. 

“I can buy my own house. Travel. I’m just speechless."

“It’s amazing news. It’s my birthday soon, so I’ve started the celebrations early,” she shared. 

“I do play now and then. This time was completely random, but I guess I can count it as an early birthday present to myself.

And despite initially feeling gloomy, a South Morang woman’s day brightened up the moment she realised she won $1 million in the Weekday Windfall game.  

“I was feeling so upset yesterday, and little did I know, I had won the lottery!” the winning woman revealed.

“It was one of those days. I didn’t want to get out of bed, but I got up and made myself a coffee. That’s when I remembered I had a lotto ticket, but I couldn’t remember where on earth I’d put it. 

“I knew it was somewhere close by. I found them sitting under some cards, and when I checked it, I just went, ‘Oh my god!’. I couldn’t believe it.

“Now I know why you guys are always saying to register your tickets. I guess I just never thought it would actually happen!”
