The ecstatic pair couldn’t believe they’d unwrapped a multi-million-dollar win on their special day and agreed it would be hard to top in the years to come.

“My husband got me the ticket – he bought it as my anniversary gift. Actually, he usually gets me an X Lotto ticket for our anniversary. It’s a bit of a tradition,” the winning wife explained.

“We’ve been playing Lotto since the beginning of time, and I think the most we’ve ever won is $40 until now! I can’t believe it.

“I’m sure we’ll enjoy a few holidays and help our adult children with their mortgages.

“I’d also like to give some to the Fred Hollows Foundation and cancer research.”

“It’s unbelievable. I’m still in total shock,” she laughed.

“When I finally found it, I scratched the ticket, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I thought straight away, ‘I was right about my coin!’.

“I’d like to invest some of it. I was even thinking I could pay a whole year’s worth of rent, then I wouldn’t have to think about it.”
