Holiday magic swept across the country, bringing extraordinary wins and unforgettable celebrations. Wish lists turned into realities as Aussies unwrapped their major wins in time for the new year. Check out some of our favourite moments from the week!

Reeling in a division one delight

A Taylors Hill man now has home ownership in his sights after he hooked a $946,000 win from a recent TattsLotto draw. Sleepless, and already planning how he’ll spend his newfound fortune, we caught up with the elated winner.

“We’re out fishing and celebrating already!” the man exclaimed.

“I’m running on adrenaline. I think I’ve slept an hour or an hour and a half, and I’ve had four or five cups of coffee.

“I’ve already been looking at houses because I’m renting at the moment. I’ve been surfing the web for a new home.”

From tradition to triumph

A family Christmas tradition delivered more than just choccies for one Silverdale woman, after she unwrapped an Instant Scratch-Its top prize of $1,000 a week for the next five years!

“It’s crazy!” she exclaimed.

“I had to check it many times. It happened around 10pm on Christmas Eve and we couldn’t believe it.

“Every Christmas Eve, my family gets together for our annual game where mum picks up scratchies and choccies, then wraps the whole lot in Glad Wrap.

“We take turns rolling the dice, and whenever someone gets a double, they get to peel back the Glad Wrap and claim whatever’s inside.

“I think I’ll save the prize for a rainy day.”

Multi-million-dollar new year

Two Aussies are ringing in the new year as multi-millionaires after sharing the $15M Oz Lotto jackpot from draw 1663.

An Albany Creek man was still cooling down from his gym session when he received a heart-stopping phone from us, revealing he’d taken home a $7.5 million division one prize!

“Is this a piss-take?” he questioned.

“Oh my f****** god! Oh my god!

“I’m on the way home from gym actually. I’ve had to pull over!

“I’ve actually run this scenario before in my head. You always dream about it. I never thought it would actually happen!

“I think I’ll be making a call to the boss!”

And the other winner, a Lithgow dad, was completely oblivious to his multi-million-dollar fortune until we reached out to him with the news.

“Oh my god! Really?!” he exclaimed when the enormity of his win was revealed.

“It’s been a good Christmas but now it’s become so much better.

“I just never thought I would ever win a prize like this.

“I’ll be able to help out the kids and then we might go on a nice European river cruise.

“Wow! I’m a bit stupefied by this. It’s all a bit weird.”

Perfect timing for humble mum

Completely oblivious to her $200,000 Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot loot, a Kempsey mum was overwhelmed with gratitude when we delivered the winning news. She shared the win couldn’t have come at a better time, and she would put it towards making life a little easier.

“Wow! Thank you very much!” she exclaimed.

“I’m super appreciative – so grateful.

“You don’t know how much this means to me. This has come at the most perfect time.

“This win will truly help make a real difference in my life, giving me the chance to take care of some important personal needs.”
