A Goulburn man’s favourite set of numbers was the magic ingredient that scored him the $1 million division one prize in Weekday Windfall.  

“I saw the winning numbers on Friday night, and I didn’t even need to check my ticket. I knew straight away they were my numbers because I’ve been playing them forever,” he explained. 

“I knew there was a reason I stuck with them for decades. 

“It’ll be a great help. We’ll help out the kids, and it’ll boost our retirement.

“We might even go on a holiday.”

Venturing further down the Eastern coastline, Lucky Lotteries made dreams come true for the Gippsland region. After initially dodging our calls, a Bairnsdale woman was gob-smacked to learn she landed the 1st Prize of $100,000 in the Super Jackpot draw.  

“Sorry for declining your calls earlier. I didn’t want to believe the good news,” she said.  
 
“I thought I’d check my ticket online first to see if it was real. I kept reloading my ticket to check it wasn’t a glitch. 
 
“I grabbed my husband right away. He was jumping with joy and so excited. 
 
“It’s going to help us a lot. We’ll be able to wipe out our bills and share some love with our family.”

Mystery solved 

Meanwhile, a Gympie man had us buzzing with anticipation for 39 days as he pondered his $1.6 million Saturday Gold Lotto win. Having been purchased as an unregistered lottery ticket, we were zealously waiting for the mystery man to reveal himself. 

“It’s taken a lot to sink in,” he shared when we finally connected with the winning man. 

“I went to the local newsagency to check my ticket and the young girls behind the counter said they couldn’t pay out the prize. That’s when I knew it was big!

“I just had to sit and ponder the win for a month. I couldn’t believe it. 

“I’ve also kept the win on the downlow. I haven’t told anyone about the win. I don’t think I will.”
