If you have purchased an entry in-store which contains a draw occurring from Monday 14 April 2025 and beyond, you will not be issued a cheque for prizes won on that entry.

This change is in response to the Federal Government’s announcement that issuing cheques will be phased out of the Australian banking system by 2028, with financial institutions starting to take steps to discontinue cheque services well in advance. To prepare for this transition, we have discounted cheques as a method of prize payment.

The Lott can pay prizes directly into your bank account. If you haven’t provided your bank details, add them to your membership today to receive quick, easy and secure prize payments. You can easily add your bank details in-store by asking your retailer to send you an SMS with a link.

If you also play online, you can update your preferences to have registered in-store prizes paid into your online account. If you don't update your prize preferences, from 18 June 2025 any future prizes will be automatically paid into your online account 4 weeks after the draw.

Please note, The Lott will never call and ask for your bank details over the phone.
