A Townsville man’s Friday was flipped upside down in the best possible way after we interrupted his workday to reveal he’d won $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries draw.

The North Queenslander held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1773, drawn Friday 27 February 2026. He looks forward to a neat $200,000 payday.

The winning man was in the middle of his workday when we rang with the thrilling news.

“Oh wowza! Thank you so much!” he said.

“That’s just excellent.

“It’s hard to put into words just what it feels like.

“I honestly feel numb right now.

“I’m not sure how I’ll go working the rest of the day.”

With $200,000 soon to boost his bank account, the stunned winner said he planned to take his time before making any major decisions.

“I have no idea what I’ll do just yet,” he said.

“Once it soaks in, I’ll sit down and give it some serious thought.”

His winning entry of four random numbers was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
