A hardworking Rockhampton woman finished her workday with a bang yesterday, discovering she’d won $200,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw.

The Central Queensland resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1699, drawn Thursday 27 March 2025.

The stunned winner shared she was set to retire next year, adding the win couldn’t have come at a better time.

“I’m still in shock. It’s a lot to process!” the winning woman said.

“I was just finishing up work for the day when I received your email telling me to check my tickets.

“I noticed I had a missed call from you too, and I thought to myself, somebody from The Lott wouldn’t call for just any old reason.

“So, I logged into my online account and checked my ticket. My heart started to race straight away.

“Wow! I was in a lot of shock.

“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries since the very beginning, so it felt very surreal to win.

“The money has come at a great time as I’m planning to retire from my job next year.

“It feels like an early retirement gift.”

Her winning entry of two random numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
