A Brunswick man was dashing out the door for his morning gym class when he received the life-enhancing phone call he’d won more than $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw.

The Melburnian held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10974, drawn Thursday 8 May 2025. He also pocketed a consolation prize, boosting his total windfall to $101,000.

“It’s so good! Such very good news!” the winning man cheered.

“I’m so excited. I don’t know what else to say right now.

“I was just heading out the door to a gym class when you called. I’m not sure I’ll make it to my class anymore.

“I often buy a couple of Lucky Lotteries tickets each week, hoping to win big one day.

“You’ve made my day, and my week, for that matter.”

Grinning from ear to ear, the thrilled winner shared the prize couldn’t have landed at a better time and that he looked forward to kickstarting celebrations with a fancy dinner out.

“I might have to go out for a nice meal tonight to celebrate,” he said.

“Look, the prize is going to come in very handy. I’ve got several things on the horizon that I could put it towards.

“It would be nice to just chill out for a bit.”

His winning entry of two consecutive numbers was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
