A young North Lakes man has kept his cool, calm and collected demeanour, despite being suddenly upgraded to a millionaire following the weekend’s Gold Lotto draw.
 
The Moreton Bay region resident held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4567, drawn Saturday 26 April 2025, and took home $1,259,119.90.
 
So far in 2025, there have been four major lottery wins in the Moreton Bay region that have collectively taken home more than $61 million in prize money. 
 
The winning man was on his way to an appointment when he received a phone call from us revealing his bounty. 
 
“It’s amazing,” he laughed.
 
“It’s a nice feeling. I’m still processing it all.
 
“I’m going to take my time and make smart decisions moving forward. 

“The first thing I thought when I discovered the win was, ‘how am I going to invest this!’. I’ll definitely put it away for the future.  

“I’m a simple man, so I’ll keep my celebrations low-key and not tell many people. 

“Thank you very much!”
