A Southport man has admitted he can’t stop laughing after being bamboozled by the revelation he scored division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Gold Coast resident held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4551 on Saturday 1 March 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $884,118.73.

“I just checked my ticket now,” he exclaimed.

“Wow!  Wow! I can’t believe it.  Oh my god!

“Wow, that’s a lot!

“It’s real, right?

“I just keep looking at the ticket. I just can’t believe it. I’m just walking around in a daze, looking at the ticket.”

When asked how he might enjoy his Lotto loot, the regular player shared he had his sights set on the future.

“My partner and I can now buy a house and have no mortgage!” he said.

“This is so good for us as we want to have children in the future.”

The man’s winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
