A Mackay woman was left utterly gobsmacked when we called this morning to reveal she’d won a life-enhancing $546,000 on a forgotten Saturday Gold Lotto ticket.
 
The North Queenslander held one of the 12 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4581, drawn Saturday 14 June 2025. She looks forward to $546,068.41.
 
“Love a duck! You’re joking!” the retiree exclaimed when we confirmed the windfall.
 
“What?! You’re absolutely joking!

“I’m calling out to my husband now! We’ve won $546,000!

“How the hell! What do we intend to do with the prize? Who do we tell?

“I forgot about this ticket. I didn’t even realise I had purchased it for this draw.
 
“We’ve got a handyman coming to help us fix our television today. Not much on for today, but we’ll have to work something out to celebrate.
 
“This is a big surprise for our Monday.
 
“Now I have to get over the shock.”
