A devoted dad from Echuca is turning a $900,000 TattsLotto win into a family legacy, wiping out his mortgage and giving his adult children a head start on the Great Australian Dream.

The northern Victorian held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto, draw 4589, drawn Saturday 12 July 2025. He looks forward to a $919,034.33 prize.

The division one winning entry is the first major lottery win to land in the Goulburn Valley in 2025.

The winning entry was unregistered, which means we had no way of contacting the ticketholder and had to wait for them to check their ticket and come forward.

The gleeful man confessed he was “sweating bullets” knowing his winning ticket was unregistered and he was so terrified of misplacing it that he couldn’t get to The Lott head office fast enough.

“Wow! It’s hard to believe!” he exclaimed.

“Haha, wow! It’s been so nerve-wracking carrying around this unregistered ticket. I’ll definitely be registering any tickets from now on!

“I somewhat did know about the win, but I had to come to the newsagency to confirm it all.

“I don’t think it will click until I’ve received the funds, to be honest.

“I’ll be paying off the mortgage for sure. Then I’ll put some aside for the kids and their home deposits!

“I’m sure I’ll enjoy the rest but be very responsible with it.

“Thank you very much! It’s beautiful! I’ll have to rush to The Lott head office to claim now! This ticket won’t leave my sight.”

His winning entry was purchased at Echuca Lucky Lotto, 196 Hare Street, Echuca.

Echuca Lucky Lotto shop manager Eric Davey said he was feeling ecstatic to have sold his 36th division one winning entry.

“It’s fantastic! How awesome is that! The last time we sold a division one winning entry was two years ago now, so we’re super excited to have sold another,” he shared.

“This is now our 36th division one winning entry and we couldn’t be happier! We’ve been decorating the store with balloons and extra signage.

“We hope our division one winner can enjoy their prize and get to experience their dreams come true. On behalf of Echuca Lucky Lotto team, congratulations and all the very best!”
