A bunch of lifelong Cabramatta mates are now newly-minted millionaires after their private syndicate hit the jackpot with a $4.2 million win over the weekend.
 
The four Sydneysiders held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4593, drawn Saturday 26 July 2025. Each division one winning entry scored $4,285,714.29.
 
Each member of the private syndicate can look forward to a dazzling $1,071,428.57.
 
When we called to confirm the winning news, the private syndicate leader relayed how the group had been friends for decades, and how the win would be a great opportunity to catch up.
 
“I’m very good today! Thank you very much!” he said.
 
“It’s a group of us that won. We’ve been friends for over 30 years. It’ll be split four ways.
 
“It’s funny thinking about how we used to hang out together and play together, and now we’ve won this together.
 
“We usually play when there’s a big draw. I was the one who originally said, ‘Let’s do it!’, because I would play when I was younger.
 
“It’s amazing. It’ll help all our families.
 
“We’ll certainly have to all get together and celebrate.
 
“It’s a huge prize. We’ll be able to clear the mortgage, which is amazing.
