“I’m about to faint!”: Berridale man delirious after winning $1.2 million in Saturday Lotto
A Berridale man was left in dire need of a lie down, unsure whether he was about to laugh or cry, after discovering the life-changing news that he’d bagged $1.2 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The Snowy Mountains resident held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4561, drawn Saturday 5 April 2025. Each division one winning entry can look forward to $1,260,543.17.
When we called to reveal the wondrous news, the hard-working man was in disbelief and struggled to wrap his head around the enormity of his prize.
“No way! Bloody oath!” he cheered.
“That’s just awesome. I think I’m about to faint.
“It couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ll be able to pay off the mortgage. Then I can relax a bit and take it easy.
“I’ve been dreaming about this day. I can’t believe it. It’s going to help so much.
“I don’t know whether to laugh or cry! I’m just in shock.
“I’ve been playing for around 10 years or more. I never really win more than $30 or enough for my next ticket, so this is awesome.
“I’ve still got to head to work today, but I’ll definitely be celebrating with family when I can.”
His winning 15-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
